Daimler Truck AG and BP will be collaborating on the deployment of a network of hydrogen filling stations. There will be 25 such stations by 2030, supplied by BP with green hydrogen. It is not specified whether this will be liquid hydrogen, a solution that Daimler clearly fancies. With regard to the German manufacturer, it plans to deliver fuel cell trucks in the country from 2025.
Similarly to other oil companies BP is involved in hydrogen and is taking part in the deployment of stations in Germany. In England, BP is going to build a hydrogen production centre with a capacity of 1 GW, in Teeside. Initially, this will be blue hydrogen, but the group is also exploring the possibility of green hydrogen.
In Germany, Daimler Truck has reached an agreement with Linde to benefit from hydrogen stations. The truck manufacturer intends to secure the development of the infrastructure in order to reassure future customers.
