For the fourth consecutive year, Renault Group is the only car manufacturer taking part in the ChangeNOW Summit, held from 24 to 26 April at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris. At its stand in the Mobility area, Renault is presenting Emblème, a demonstration vehicle that embodies the Group’s commitment to low-carbon mobility.
This dual-energy concept car, which combines a battery and a hydrogen fuel cell, was initially revealed behind closed doors at the Paris Motor Show. It has since been shown to the automotive press and is now on display to the public at ChangeNOW. Emblème features a Plug battery, an OPmobility hydrogen tank, and a Verkor battery pack. The vehicle has already made an impression, including on Stéphane Le Foll, Mayor of Le Mans, who visited the summit.
More about the vehicle can be found in this video.
On 24 April, Josep-Maria Recasens, Renault Group Chief Strategy Officer and CEO of Ampere, and Cléa Martinet, Renault Group Head of Sustainability, gave a keynote reviewing the sustainable development achievements of the “Renaulution” strategic plan, four years after its launch. That same day, a masterclass dedicated to the Emblème project was held by Pascal Tribotté, the project lead from Renault’s Engineering and Projects Division.
Back in 2022, Renault showcased the Scenic Vision concept – you can watch the video here.
Several other hydrogen and mobility innovators also attended the event, including Clhyn, EODev (with its Besstie energy storage solution), H2 Power n Heat, Hylight (whose airship was displayed under the Grand Palais glass roof), and Wild Hydrogen.
ChangeNOW 2024 gathers over 1,000 transformative solutions and visionary leaders in a spectacular showcase designed to accelerate the transition to a sustainable future. Among the attendees were Agnès Pannier-Runacher, French Minister for Ecological Transition, and Laurent Fabius, who marked the first anniversary of the Paris Agreement.
