This Monday, Hympulsion—operator of the hydrogen station at Lyon Saint-Exupéry Airport—and Hyliko, with its Grand LHYon ecosystem in Saint-Priest, will kick off the Journées Hydrogène dans les Territoires (JH2T – Hydrogen Days in the Regions).
Following last Thursday’s inauguration of the new hydrogen bus line in Clermont-Ferrand, it’s now Lyon’s turn to send a strong signal in support of hydrogen mobility.
Throughout the day on Monday, Hympulsion will be hosting various events. In the morning, professionals are invited to attend a presentation on the ZEV (Zero Emission Valley) project and the local hydrogen ecosystem. Several hydrogen-powered vehicles will be showcased, including the Hyundai Nexo, Toyota Mirai and Hilux, BMW X5, an Iveco bus, and a Hyliko heavy-duty truck.
The afternoon will feature an official inauguration with several key figures: Paul Vidal, Regional Councillor and Senator for Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes; Nicolas Notebaert, Executive Vice President of Concessions at VINCI and President of VINCI Airports; and Florian Chevallier, President of HYmpulsion. Shareholders of Hympulsion—including representatives from Engie, Michelin, Crédit Agricole, Banque des Territoires—will also be in attendance, along with Richard Ferrer, Director of Innovation at CINEA (European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency), the regional director of ADEME, and local officials from eastern Lyon.
Later in the day, Hyliko will present its hydrogen truck ecosystem in Saint-Priest. Similar to its operations in Villabé (Essonne, Île-de-France), the company will inaugurate its new regional headquarters near the Hympulsion station. The facility includes a technical centre for the maintenance of customers’ vehicles, both new and retrofitted hydrogen-powered trucks.
