The third edition of the France Hydrogène Awards, organised in partnership with Bpifrance, CCI France and the FNCCR, honoured standout achievements in retrofitting, hydrogen storage, and hydrogen-powered generators.
Held in the stunning setting of the Palais de la Bourse in Lyon, the ceremony followed a full day of discussions at JH2T. The winners were:
- Deployment Award: GCK, for its project “Hydrogen mobility in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region: deployment of the first retrofitted coaches with hydrogen fuel cells.”
- Innovation Award: Alstom Hydrogen, for its “Hydrogen Power Generator” project.
- International Award: H2Gremm, for its “Quokka” project.
- Coup de Cœur Award: CETIM, for its “Hydrogen Mechanical Engineering Platform of Excellence and Hymeet Strategic Programme.”
- Public Prize: OPmobility, for its project “Lachelle Plant: First industrial deployment of hydrogen storage and transport technologies.”
Each winner received a white bear sculpture created by Dijon-born artist François Pompon. Chosen as a symbol of the melting ice caused by rising greenhouse gas emissions, the polar bear serves as a powerful reminder of climate change and the urgent need to accelerate the ecological transition—an ambition in which hydrogen plays a key role.
