GCK recently acquired Solution F, one of the leading players in France in terms of automotive engineering (competition and series). The company intends to develop the production of hydrogen engines, as a complement to its carbon-free mobility offer.
As the new owner, GCK visited the Solution F site in the south of France. The company, founded in 1985, will focus on the development and manufacture of new hydrogen combustion engines, including a centre of expertise and studies for retrofitting combustion engines to hydrogen. It should be noted that Solution F has expertise in the design of electric and hybrid propulsion systems.
Eric Boudot, CEO of GCK says that “Taking over Solution F makes perfect sense for us because thanks to its know-how we will be able to go even further and develop hydrogen combustion engines which represent a considerable progress for decarbonising transports.” Vincent Lallemand, the director of Solution F, added: “We are now able to transform traditional polluting petrol engines into clean hydrogen combustion engines… Therefore we emit zero CO2 emissions while maintaining a high level of performance.
Through this purchase, the GCK group now has complete control over the construction, integration and supply chain of hydrogen vehicles.
