H2 Bois Takes a Major Step Forward in the Swiss Jura

Haffner Energy has announced an initial contract, marking a key milestone in the H2 Bois project at the Corbat company site in Glovelier (Swiss Jura).

Following the successful launch of green hydrogen production at the Marolles site (Marne), Haffner Energy is now moving forward with another major project. This contract finalises discussions with H2 Bois SA, a company formed by the Swiss Corbat Group along with its partners Planair and Romande Energie.

The H2 Bois project aims to produce hydrogen, electricity, and biochar from biomass sourced from the wood industry. These products will be used to meet the needs of local industrialists—currently reliant on fossil hydrogen—and to decarbonise mobility.

The unit, which is scheduled for commissioning in July 2026, represents a potential total order value of €8.3 million, including options.

Located near the A16 motorway, the site will produce 30 kg/h of hydrogen. A 1 km pipeline will transport the hydrogen to a distribution point, allowing it to be used for vehicle refueling.
