HRS launches its first hydrogen station in Italy

HRS has announced that it has received an order to supply and install an HRS14 hydrogen station in Italy for an industrial client.

The station, capable of delivering 14 kg of hydrogen per hour, will be a dual-pressure type and is set to be installed on the customer’s site by the end of 2025. It will have the capacity to refuel all types of hydrogen-powered vehicles, including passenger cars, trucks, buses, and even industrial vehicles. HRS notes that the project is subject to receiving subsidies, with confirmation expected by the end of November.

Italy is one of the high-potential European markets targeted by the French manufacturer, particularly through fieldwork with its partner Simplifhy. Rome plans to invest €230 million in the rollout of hydrogen refuelling stations for road transport. At least 40 hydrogen refuelling stations will be developed along major roads and near ports and logistics terminals by 2026.

“Italy’s strong commitment to green hydrogen development aligns perfectly with our vision, and we are confident that our technological leadership, combined with our growing local presence, positions us to play a crucial role in the country’s green hydrogen infrastructure rollout,” said Hassen Rachedi, founder and CEO of HRS.
