Hydrogen Refueling Solutions (HRS), the French hydrogen station manufacturer, has received its first order from Element 2, a key player in the mobility sector in the UK. The order is for an HRS14, which delivers 14 kg of hydrogen per hour as the name suggests.
HRS had already set up two stations for logistics in the UK. However, this one will be used for vans, cars and airport vehicles, as part of a series of long-term trials. The HRS14 station will be installed at Darlington, Teesside International Airport (North East England). That name should ring a bell to our most faithful readers. Indeed, we mentioned the H2Teesside project between Technip Energies and BP two months ago (read our article). But let’s get back to the topic in hand!
The customer receiving this HRS14 is none other than Element 2, a company founded in 2020 which is developing the first national network of large-scale hydrogen refuelling stations in the UK and Ireland. The manufacturer believes that the UK is “one of the driving forces behind hydrogen expansion in Europe, with its ambitious strategy to install 10 GW of hydrogen production by 2030, along with a broad refueling station network.”
