The competitiveness cluster, which is one of France’s pioneers in hydrogen mobility, is organising two hydrogen events in 2024: one in Montbéliard, the other in Strasbourg. Both of these events will complement each other.
The first is the Hydrogen Business for Climate Forum, to be held on October 1 and 2 in Montbéliard. Organised alternately with Belfort, this event will take place despite the event “Journées Hydrogène dans les Territoires” (French for Hydrogen Days in the Territories) being held in Dijon in June. Belfort and Montbéliard wanted to keep an annual edition in order to capitalise on their industrial ecosystem, with a rare concentration of gigafactories (Forvia, Gen-Hy, Inocel, McPhy) and skills around fuel cells and hydrogen storage (with the future Isthy test site). The 2024 forum will focus more on the theme of project plants, with a business and cooperation dimension.
The other upcoming event is “Hydrogène Sans Frontières” on 8 November. This is a trinational conference, bringing together France, Germany and Switzerland. The aim was to bring together the hydrogen players from these three countries on the same site, in the spirit of the Trinational Hydrogen Initiative 3H2, which is a partner in the event, along with the Trion Climate association and the H2 Europe association based in Strasbourg. 250 participants are expected to attend this event’s first edition.
With these two events, one in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté and the other in the Grand Est, the cluster Véhicule du Futur is addressing the regions where it is present. In these two regions, the cluster has set up an H2 club with members from the regions concerned.
