Toyota came to Goodwood with its own hydrogen mobile refuelling station mounted on a truck

We have already mentioned the Yaris GR H2 driven by Rowan Atkinson (aka Mr Bean) and the Hilux pick-up. The Japanese automaker has even more to show when it comes to hydrogen.

And for that, we can thank Jon Hunt, who is Senior Manager Hydrogen Transformation at Toyota in Great Britain. In a post on LinkedIn, he published a video showing the truck used to refuel the hydrogen-powered Yaris GR. This Hytruck can store up to 60 kg of hydrogen and release it at a pressure of 350 bar. It can be used to refuel buses and trucks when there is no hydrogen station on site. However, the truck carrying the station does not run on hydrogen, but on biofuel.

Toyota also came to Goodwood with another system: the HyQube, developed by Fuel Cell Systems, a British company. It delivers hydrogen at 700 bar.

In the same Linkedin post, Jon Hunt welcomes the fact that endurance racing through the WEC championship and Formula 1 will be adopting hydrogen by the end of the decade.
