Exactly a year after unveiling its prototype version, in October 2021, the joint venture between Renault and Plug Power will display the Master Van H2-TECH in its production version at the Paris Motor Show next week. You can book online for the event.
This hydrogen-powered van is manufactured in France and claims a range of 400 km. It is equipped with a 30 kW fuel cell, a 33 kWh battery and tanks containing 6.4 kg of hydrogen (four 1.6 kg tanks). In addition to its range and 5-minute recharge time, this vehicle has a 12m3 load volume, suitable for transporting goods and packages, which meets the needs of professionals for their intensive use. In the loading area you can tell the van by its 1.80 m height.
The joint venture between Renault and Plug Power has benefited from feedbacks from several European countries, including France, where the Master is already being tested by Chronopost, Engie, Orange and Equans. It has also been adopted by Airbus and Alpine F1 for their logistics needs.
Hyvia is also exhibiting at the Paris Motor Show its Master City Bus H2-TECH and Master Chassis Cab H2-TECH prototypes, which will be on the road next year, as well as a hydrogen recharging station and a fuel cell prototype.
The company, which claims to be firmly rooted in France, is also pleased to have been selected as one of the 10 confirmed projects which are part of the Important Projects of Common European Interest’ (IPCEI). “The hydrogen revolution is underway” says David Holderbach, Hyvia’s CEO.
