McPhy Announces the Departure of Its CEO

At a time when the company is facing significant challenges, McPhy has announced the resignation of CEO Jean-Baptiste Lucas.

In a press release issued following the Board of Directors meeting on 4 April, the company stated that it had “acknowledged the resignation, for personal reasons, of Jean-Baptiste Lucas as Chief Executive Officer.” He will remain in post until a successor is appointed, no later than 31 July 2025. Mr Lucas has held the role since 2021.

McPhy has already launched the process of identifying his replacement.

Luc Poyer, Chairman of the Board, paid tribute to Mr Lucas, highlighting “his dedication, rigour and courage in a complex environment.”

The electrolyser manufacturer is currently in a critical financial situation and urgently requires fresh funding. As it stands, the company is only expected to remain solvent until the end of the summer.
