Morocco to host a major hydrogen Summit in October

The World Power to X Summit will take place from 8 to 9 October 2024 at the Marrakech Convention Centre. This 4th edition of the Summit reflects the ambitions of Morocco when it comes to green hydrogen.

This Summit is organised by IRESEN (Solar Energy and New Energies Research Institute) and MASEN (the Moroccan Agency for Sustainable Energy), in collaboration with the Cluster GreenH2 and the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P). The event announces more than 175 speakers and over 1,000 people are expected to attend.

This 2024 edition will focus on large-scale projects currently underway as well as funding opportunities in the field of green hydrogen and clean molecules. In particular, it will highlight the ambitious Green Hydrogen Morocco Offer, made public on 11 March.

The speakers section features a gallery of prestigious ‘potential’ speakers. They include Sultan Aljaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology of the United Arab Emirates and President of COP 28, Kadri Simson, European Commissioner for Energy, Jorgo Chatzimarkakis, CEO of Hydrogen Europe, Jennifer Granholm, US Secretary of Energy, and Aziz Akhannouch, Prime Minister of Morocco.

The World Power-to-X Summit features more than 25 detailed sessions designed to explore the latest advances, challenges and opportunities in Power-to-X technologies.
