The announcement was made at the closing of the 2024 Hydrogen Days in the territories. Lyon, capital of the Gauls, will be hosting the hydrogen industry next year, courtesy of the region. Quite the logical choice.
The Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region remains one of the most dynamic when it comes to hydrogen. A large part of the industry is concentrated here, with leading names such as Symbio, McPhy, HRS, GCK, Atawey, etc. In addition to the ZEV (Zero Emission Valley) programme, which has enabled the emergence of a network of stations (compatible with heavy vehicles), it is the ImagHYne hydrogen valley project that is taking centre stage.
It was this emblematic project that received one of the France Hydrogène awards* on June 25. The AURA region points out that other local players, such as HRS and Symbio, have also won the same awards.
After Dijon and its wines, it’s another temple of gastronomy that will be welcoming delegates. But above all, it’s an area where decarbonisation is becoming a reality, with the arrival of hydrogen in the Chemical Valley and the development of a network (HY-FEN) to link the industrial production, storage and distribution basins via the Rhône Valley.
