At CES in Las Vegas, the Japanese company announced the launch of a demonstration project this spring at one of its two office buildings. The project will take place in Ottobrunn, Bavaria.

At Panasonic Industry Europe, electricity will be generated on-site using fuel cell generators and photovoltaic panels, providing the offices with 100% renewable energy. Work on the project began last October. Panasonic HX will supply the hydrogen generators, and the initiative will feature new 10 kW generators, replacing the existing 5 kW models. These generators will be interconnected to meet varying energy demands.

It is worth noting that the Japanese group has already implemented similar systems to power its fuel cell plant in Kusatsu, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, and its microwave oven assembly plant in Cardiff, Wales, UK, with renewable energy.
