In a press release, hydrogen dispenser manufacturer HRS announced the resolution of its legal dispute with taxi operator Hype. The case had been ongoing before the Grenoble Court of Appeal and the Paris Commercial Court.
The tone of the statement is rather formal, simply noting that a settlement agreement has been reached. Under the terms of this agreement, Hype’s seizure of €4.8 million has been lifted. Specifically, €3 million will be returned to Hype, while €1.8 million will be retained by HRS.
The hydrogen stations at the centre of the original dispute—which were not delivered due to disagreements over the scope of the orders and payment terms—remain the full property of HRS. These stations may now be reallocated to other clients.
With the matter now fully resolved, HRS stated that it “will continue to maintain and, if necessary, upgrade the three stations already delivered to the Hype group.”
