HydrogenToday was created in 2015 with the purpose to inform the public about the interest and benefits of hydrogen and its associated technologies. The articles, which are written by experts, aim to make this vast and complex subject accessible to all.
H2 Today publishes plenty of articles weekly regarding hydrogen’s latest developments in various fields: mobility, industry, research & innovation and all other applications.
Our experts and journalists not only reproduce press releases or reference articles that are already published elsewhere. They do their best to provide and comment on the most relevant information in a format that is accessible to all audiences and quick to read.
As an automotive journalist for over 30 years, Laurent Meillaud keeps track of the technological developments and is also interested in alternative energies, including hydrogen, which he has been following for 20 years. In 2007 he co-authored a book on the subject with Pierre Beuzit, the former R&D director at Renault. Since 2016, he has been contributing to the France Hydrogène newsletter.
Bertrand Chauvet has more than 35 years of experience in innovative markets, as an entrepreneur, a manager or an executive in large international companies (Dialogic Corp, Intel EMEA, NetCentrex). He has been a senior consultant in the field of renewable energy since 2008. Also, he was Marketing Director of Symbio, the French leader in fuel cells, from 2011 to 2016, while co-founding and managing Seiya Consulting, the French consulting firm 100% specialised in hydrogen, since 2013.
Thomas Vermeersch graduated as a polytechnic engineer and started his career in the French Air Force as a fighter pilot (Mirage 2000D) before joining the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) as an experimental test pilot. He then took over the marketing and sales management of a Toulouse-based SME in the defence sector, before becoming a consultant in strategy, marketing and finance for several European SMEs and start-ups. He notably assisted the hybrid electric-hydrogen aircraft project of ‘Avions Mauboussin’ in Belfort, before joining Seiya in 2022.

At Eurogroup Consulting, he specialized in the energy and industry sectors, on prospective studies, organizational transformation and project management. He now holds the position of project manager at Seiya Consulting.
Sophie Collong holds a PhD in engineering sciences on the design of complex mechanical systems with dynamic behaviour and she is an H2 expert on the safety of hydrogen systems. Her specific expertise has contributed to the design of the vast majority of new hydrogen systems developed in France, such as MobHy Post, Kangoo ZE-H2, Chereau Road, Bosch Fresh2, HyBarge, H2X, GreenGT CATHYy0PE, Hydromer, Yélo, NavHybus, EODev etc.
Carpenter, engineer and amateur pilot, Ugo Voisin has a versatile profile. He has mostly worked on large infrastructure projects (motorway, metro, stadium, uranium extraction process) as a works engineer and then as a project manager, first in Africa (Niger, Madagascar, South Sudan) and the Middle East (Qatar). He then obtained a master’s degree at Supaero specialising in aeronautical project management. He joined Seiya Consulting in 2021 as a Consultant Manager to focus on the deployment of hydrogen solutions.
As a young electromechanical engineer who graduated from the “Arts et Métiers” de Bruxelles (ECAM), Léopold Thomas decided to complement his technical skills with management skills by joining the Aerospace Project Management Specialised Master’s programme at ISAE-SUPAERO.
