Airbus talks hydrogen at VivaTech

Airbus is present at VivaTech, where it is presenting a fuel cell, and will be taking part in a round-table discussion on the future of aviation alongside other players in the hydrogen industry.

During a visit to VivaTech yesterday, the Fuel Cell Module was visible on the Airbus stand. This is one of the technologies chosen by Airbus, which is also testing the fuel cell as an auxiliary generator and exploring the hydrogen engine option. Today, the show was marked by a visit from Sabine Klauke, the Group’s Technical Manager and a member of the Executive Committee. She took the stand to talk about liquid hydrogen.

Tomorrow afternoon, Guillaume Faury, CEO of Airbus, will take part in a round table discussion on low-carbon aviation. He will be sharing the stage with Augustin de Romanet, Chairman of the ADP Group, and Eloa Guillotin, CEO of Beyond Aero. Hydrogen will also be on the agenda, a theme that is gaining ground at the show.

At VivaTech, Airbus will also be communicating on other themes, such as the electric flying taxi of the future (to be seen virtually over Osaka) and autonomous taxiing at airports (with a truck incorporating a real aircraft cockpit and driving along an alleyway at Porte de Versailles).
