Beyond Aero plans a flight of its two-seat demonstrator in 2022

We’ve already told you about this start-up founded in 2020 by two alumni of the ISAE-SUPAERO (National Higher French Institute of Aeronautics and Space) and the École Polytechnique (polytechnic). According to the local press, Beyond Aero recently unveiled its two-seat hydrogen-powered demonstrator project, called Blériot. It will be based on a G1 microlight, an ultralight aircraft designed in France. The aircraft will be retrofitted with its combustion engine replaced by a fuel cell and an electric motor. Eloa Guillotin, the co-founder and president of the company, believes that it will be “one of the first hydrogen-powered demonstrators in Europe capable of carrying passengers.”

The start-up Beyond Aero based in Toulouse (South of France) plans to have this hydrogen-powered demonstrator in the air by the end of 2022. This is the first step towards building a five to seven seat business jet for European transport.
