During the weekend of the TotalEnergies 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, part of the FIA 2024 World Endurance Championship, a hydrogen themed Forum will be held between 9 and 11 May.
This forum will take place in May as part of the European Skills Agenda and will be organised by the Automotive Skills Alliance, GreenSkillsforH2 and Skills Alliance for Industrial Symbiosis. With a particular focus on training, this event, in collaboration with the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, will echo European initiatives and projects dedicated to developing the skills needed to achieve the European Union’s ambition of carbon neutrality by 2050.
This “Hydrogen VET Forum” will therefore be held on a symbolic circuit. The circuit where the MissionH24 prototype completed its first official laps in 2018.
Aimed at educators, the event will provide an overview of the latest developments in hydrogen technologies. It will also feature workshops with hydrogen experts from the world of motor racing, including experts from MissionH24 (a programme run in collaboration with the ACO and H24Project). This is further proof of the role of endurance racing as a technological laboratory.
Thanks to its hydrogen strategy, the ACO is recognised in Europe and by the European Commission as a key player in energy transition.
