Introduced by Valérie Bouillon-Delporte, who recently assumed her role as Executive Director, the conference will focus on funding and cooperation.
The conference, co-organised by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and the European Commission (DG for Research and Innovation), will take place in Brussels on 17 and 18 June and it builds on work carried out with European regions and cities to fund 15 hydrogen valleys across Europe. These discussions are paving the way for the launch of an EU roadmap for hydrogen valleys.
It should be noted that 16 valleys have already been launched, representing an investment of €1 billion (€200 million of which comes from Europe).
The agenda includes discussions with political decision-makers, including local authorities, as well as project developers, investors and suppliers of the industry, in order to shape these local hydrogen ecosystems. The aim is to double the number of hydrogen valleys in the European Union by 2025.
As for France, the representative of the AURA region in Brussels will be talking about its hydrogen strategy. The region is involved in the IMAGHyNE project.
