Stellantis will be present at Hyvolution

Stellantis at Hyvolution

Like Hyvia (Renault and Plugpower), Stellantis will be at the Hyvolution Show at the ‘Porte de Versailles’ (Paris) this week. This will be an opportunity for the company to present its H2 vans, but also to take part in round tables and to meet the players in the sector as well as potential customers.

Stellantis’ hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles (Peugeot e-Expert Hydrogen, Citroën ë-Jumpy Hydrogen and Opel Vivaro-e Hydrogen) are available on the market. The vehicles will no longer be assembled in Germany since the production site is to be moved to France.* The group points out that its offer is aimed at “heavy-duty” professionals who have 400 km of autonomy, with a 3 minute refuel, zero emissions and without compromising the vehicle’s payload (1,000 kg).

“We are convinced that this technology will establish itself as a complementary zero-emission solution for professional customers” explains Xavier Peugeot, Senior vice President Commercial Vehicles Business Unit. “We understand the importance of developing a hydrogen ecosystem and are working on innovative global solutions to support professionals who use this technology on a daily basis.”

Stellantis has its eyes on Symbio

At the end of December, Stellantis announced its intention to acquire a stake in Symbio, a joint venture between Faurecia and Michelin in the field of hydrogen and a leader in fuel cells for the mobility sector. We may learn more about it during Hyvolution.

*Next year, Stellantis will have an annual production capacity of 5,000 medium-sized vans equipped with a fuel cell at its Hordain site in the Hauts de France (North of France). This site will be the first plant in the world to produce a vehicle with three different types of energy (thermal, electric and hydrogen).
