Teréga, which has just published its results (sales of € 494 M: + 0.4% compared with 2022), intends to remain at the forefront and to accelerate the development of the energies of the future.
For the years to come, Teréga is relying on three pillars: biomethane, hydrogen and CO2 (a new business unit was created on 1 May). As far as hydrogen is concerned, H2MED, selected as part of IPCEI, is a major project. It has been established as the first green hydrogen corridor to supply Germany. This is an essential step in the realisation of the European REPowerEU plan, as pointed out by Teréga.
Similarly, with HySoW, a hydrogen transport and storage project in south-west France, Teréga is affirming its role as a major catalyst in the development of hydrogen. Located at the heart of the Occitania and Nouvelle-Aquitaine regions, this infrastructure project should help to secure energy supplies.
In addition, the PHARE 2 project aims to make Toulouse-Blagnac airport one of the first pilot hydrogen hubs in Europe.
The year 2024 also marks the start of the GAÏA 2035 plan, which should enable Teréga to become a 100% carbon-free regional hub for the energies of the future by 2050. “We want to remain at the forefront of the low-carbon future and assert our position as a driving force behind this transition,” stated Dominique Mockly, Chairman and CEO of Teréga. He also added: ” Which is why we have set ourselves the target of devoting over 50% of our investment to new gases and decarbonisation by 2035.”
