Texys: from the H2 motorbike to light mobility

The H2tronics company (Texys Group) presented its H2 motorbike project today as part of the Futurmob event, organised at the ISAT (a French engineering school) in Nevers. The project is called H2K and consists of developing a zero-emission competition motorbike including a 60 kW EKPO battery and powered by 1.5 kg (about 3.3 lb) of hydrogen. This GP motorbike, which is weighing 200 kg (about 440lb) and equipped with a 100 kW electric motor, aims to outperform its battery-powered counterpart (Moto E). It will be faster on a lap and have a 50% greater range.

The project has been approved by the Véhicule du Futur cluster and is buttressed by the Bourgogne Franche-Comté region as well as by other partners including Bpifrance.

Besides this development, which will be presented during 2022, the Texys group intends to develop a hydrogen solution for light mobility. The SME is targeting two- and four-wheeled urban vehicles, light marine applications, recreational vehicles (buggies, snowmobiles, jet skis, etc.), as well as drones and light aircraft.

This sensor specialised group will also provide expertise in software and electronics.
