The role of GCK as a partner of Toyota during the Paris 2024 Olympics

Now that the Olympics are over, Toyota’s partners are speaking out to present their actions. This is the case of GCK, which communicated on LinkedIn

This comes as no great surprise to Hydrogen Today readers. We have already told you that the first coaches retrofitted with hydrogen by GCK Mobility on behalf of B.E. green were put into operation by Toyota Motor Europe during the Paris Olympics. What is less well known is that GCK Energy’s teams were mobilised to deploy 4 hydrogen stations of 350 and 700 bar in the Paris region to refuel hydrogen vehicles at 3 different sites.

One station was located in Buc, in the Yvelines department (West of Paris), to refuel coaches. Another 350-bar station was set up on the banks of the Seine to refuel a shuttle boat. This is FinX Motor ‘s Imagine boat, which unfortunately will not be using EODev’s fuel cell immediately. It will probably use it at a later date.

The last two stations were set up at the Dreux circuit, which we visited at the beginning of August. There, GCK Energy has deployed 2 stations of 700-bar for refuelling prototypes (GR H2 concept pictured above) and hydrogen demonstration vehicles using Toyota technologies (Hilux pick-up, Crown and Mirai). The company has also installed a hydrogen generator to produce energy for recharging electric vehicles.
