Europe’s largest hydrogen exhibition set new records, with 11,503 visitors (+46%) and 572 exhibitors (+45%), all gathered into two halls over three days.
By all accounts, the 2024 edition of Hyvolution was an anthology year. And visitors to Rétromobile, the classic car show held opposite at the same time, found it hard to believe that the hydrogen industry could occupy two halls at Porte de Versailles. With a slew of new products, and above all a bunch of announcements, the 2024 edition reflected the dynamism of the industry.
As a media partner, Hydrogen Today also played its part in raising the profile of the event. We still have a couple of interviews to release in English. But in the meantime, you can watch our interview of Pierre Buchou, manager of Hyvolution here.
Hyvolution 2024: a few figures about the increasing international attendance
The organisers are emphasising the international dimension of the show, with 82 visiting countries compared with 70 last year (including Brazil, Canada, China, Chile, Korea, the United States, etc.), more than doubling the number of international visitors and 30% of exhibitors coming from abroad. There were also 25 pavilions and official delegations, many of them ambassadors. This was reflected in partnership agreements at the show.
There was also the announcement of the first edition of Hyvolution Canada, to be held on October 1 and 2, 2025 in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. In addition, after the first Hyvolution Chile in 2023, which attracted 3,800 visitors and 70 exhibitors to Santiago over 3 intense days, South America’s leading trade show will be staging its second edition from 3 to 5 September 2024 in Santiago (Chile).
A networking platform
Networking will continue with Hyvolution Hub: a new feature for the hydrogen community. The platform was launched on February 2 at the end of Hyvolution Paris. Hyvolution Hub will be a networking tool where hydrogen players can meet, exchange ideas, share knowledge and collaborate, bringing together hydrogen industry experts from all over the world.
