IAA: a 1500 km autonomy H2 truck

At the Hannover Fair, as planned, the German start-up unveiled a long-range hydrogen truck. The 44-tonne vehicle was well received and has generated a first order of batteries from Ballard.

The Quantron QHM FCEV has not gone unnoticed due to its standard range of 700 km and up to 1,500 km in its Nordic version. The German company worked closely with Ballard*, which designed a specific battery, the 120 kW FCmove-XD.

The response was quite good and resulted in 250 enquiries. As a result, Quantron has placed an order for 140 batteries so that the first units can be delivered in 2023 and 2024. The version with the longest battery life has been designed specifically for the Norwegian market.

This is just the beginning of the adventure, as four models of hydrogen truck are in the works.

*Ballard has invested in the company and has been awarded the right to be the exclusive supplier.
