Trucks are in the spotlight of the European Hydrogen Week

European Hydrogen Week trucks

Trucks are in the spotlight at the European Hydrogen Week. A number of manufacturers are exhibiting vehicles powered by fuel cells or hydrogen internal combustion engines (H2 ICE).

In addition to Daimler Truck, which is exhibiting the record-breaking GenH2, we can also see Iveco, which has started production of its hydrogen-powered truck. This S-Way will not be at Solutrans. The vehicle on show is part of the H2Haul project, as is the Daf truck from the Colruyt group, which is displayed right next to it. All three models use a fuel cell.

As for CMB-Tech, it has chosen a different technology. It is presenting a truck with a Dual Fuel engine. This company, which has been recently communicating on hydrogen combustion engines in trucks and maritime transport, announced a partnership with Ford a few months ago.

In addition to carmakers and engine manufacturers, the presence of hydrogen-powered trucks is suggested by the equipment manufacturer Plastic Omnium.
