Green hydrogen: HRS partners up with Gaia Energy

HRS, the French station manufacturer, has signed an agreement with Gaia Future Energy, a green hydrogen developer based in Morocco, to provide global distribution solutions for mobility.

The Gaia Energy Group is one of the leading developers of renewable energy in Africa. It develops large-scale renewable energy projects and by-products. The group has a strong track record in the production of green hydrogen, mostly to export it to Europe.

As part of the MoU, the HRS and Gaia Future Energy teams will work together to accelerate the development of green hydrogen infrastructure, particularly in European markets. Morocco is particularly well placed to take a significant share of the market, due to its climate and proximity to Southern Europe. In addition, the country also benefits from the already existing infrastructure, which will make it easier and quicker to transport to Europe.
